Types of sustainable labels

Sustainable labels are an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional labels and help conserve resources and reduce your carbon footprint.

Biodegradable

Compostable labels

  • The outer material and adhesive can be completely recycled
  • Two different versions available: outer material made from a white high-gloss or transparent film
  • Can be printed using a thermal transfer printer
  • Label material made from wood pulp is biodegradable and compostable
  • Adhesive is certified ‘OK Compost’
Renewable

Labels made from sugar cane

  • Sugar cane labels made from bio-based PE film
  • Bio-based PE film made from sugar cane ethanol granulate (label face material)
  • Similar functions to conventional PE label material
  • Plant-based PE film can be disposed of using standard recycling processes for polyolefins
  • Available with white or transparent surface
  • Strong adhesive
Resource-saving

Labels made from grass

  • Fresh fibre paper with 50% grass fibre and 50% cellulose
  • Made from grass pellets without the use of chemical additives
  • Grass paper can replace all common paper applications
  • Fully recyclable with other packaging papers
  • Available with removable or permanent adhesive
  • Printable using thermal transfer printers
Natural basis

Stone labels

  • Consisting of powdered stone
  • Binding agent is recycled PE, approx. 20%
  • Matt white and durable label material
  • Paper-like surface, highly tear-resistant and waterproof
  • Can be printed using thermal transfer printers
  • 100% cellulose-free
  • Strong adhesive
