Empack Mechelen 2023 Weber Team

Empack Mechelen 2023 (recap)

Did you visit us at Empack Mechelen 2023? If not, here’s a recap of all the people, goodies, and, of course, our machines. Let’s start with the Empack team from left to right: Tim de Vries, Andreas VoriasShavoni Bouman, Marco Falone and Debbie Poulus. Not pictured, but present: Jeroen Bours, Philippe Stalmans en barista Ton van Acquooy.

Besides great coffee, a cozy booth, and friendly staff, there were various machines. These machines ranged from labeling machines of all shapes and sizes to print heads capable of direct printing on various surfaces. Below, you’ll find descriptions of five different machines that were on display. If anything is unclear or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be delighted to provide further explanations, invite you to visit our showroom, or share our brochure with you.

1 | Zanasi – Continuous inkjet

Zanasi Weber Empack

New from Weber is the Zanasi printhead, where the print throw distance exceeds that of our X1Jet or PP 108. This allows for coding products at greater distances. The system operates with a cartridge, making ink replacement easy.

Additionally, the print head has a unique shape that allows it to be positioned closer to bottles. The touchscreen interface makes it simple to adjust settings and perform printing.

2 | Labeling Conveyor

Here, you can see our labeling conveyor. On it, a box rotates and is labeled by six different labeling machines. These machines include those powered by compressed air and more sustainable alternatives that operate entirely electrically. You can also observe two different applicators: one that labels the top of the box and another that labels the front of the box.

3 | Weber LA 6500 – Full colour label print & apply

Weber LA6500

Together with Epson, we have developed a solution to print and automatically apply full-color labels. With the simple press of a button, the system prints labels, and the tamp-blow mechanism ensures that the label is blown onto the box.

You can watch a video showing how it was integrated into a product line here.

4 | Weber Integra PP RAZR – Print Head

weber integra pp razr

Direct printing on any object using a print head. The PP RAZR introduces a new dimension to printing. At the fair, visitors were encouraged to place their own objects under the print head, demonstrating that you can achieve a ‘clean print’ on a wide range of materials, including cotton bags, paper, cardboard, and glass.

It’s possible to apply product identification such as barcodes and lot numbers, and all branding is effortlessly printed. Learn more about the PP RAZR here.

5 | Weber AP182 – Pallet Labeler

Weber AP 182

Automatically labeling pallets with GS1 or SSCC labels is made possible with the AP 182 and other solutions. Whether you need to label one, two, three, or all four sides, we have a solution for every requirement.

To simplify the process, we’ve developed a pallet label configurator where you can quickly find a suitable pallet labeling solution for your application, complete with accompanying videos.
