GMP-certified ink and IP65 printheads for inkjet printers
Following extensive testing, Markoprint 2580 ink for Weber Marking Systems’ inkjet printers has been successfully certified for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The ink also meets numerous EU and US requirements and complies with industry guidelines such as:
- EU Regulation 1935/32004
- EU Regulation 2032/2006
- EU Regulation No. 10/2011
- Swiss Ordinance 817.023.21 and Nestlé Guideline 2016
- US FDA 21 CFR paras. 170-199.
This opens up more applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries and adds to the current solutions offered by Weber Marking in the pharma field, in particular its Tamper Evident machine!
GMP certificate confirms food safety
The solvent-based ink Markoprint 2580 is suitable for the printing of texts, barcodes and data matrix codes on many challenging materials such as flexible plastic packaging, which is often used for food or pharmaceutical products. Food manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies can rest assured that no chemical substances will contaminate the inner products and that there will be no migration from the packaging. Direct contact with food or medicines is completely harmless whenever the ink has been fully dried in advance. This is particularly interesting for products such as salad dressing bags that accompany packed salads on which the ‘best before’ date is printed.
IP65 protection for clean prints despite dust and water in production environments
The ink perfectly complements our IP65-rated Markoprint printers, which are specifically designed for demanding industries. They are ideally suited for use in harsh production environments with dusty, moist or wet-cleaned areas:
Inkjet printer Markoprint IP-JET HP MK2:
Our Markoprint IP-JET HP is a space-saving inkjet printer that combines printhead and controller in one system. A seal in the area of the cartridge and the use of compressed air prevent water and dust from entering. Unlike many other systems available in the market, its printhead is well protected and does not need to be covered or disassembled for wet cleaning. This inkjet printer applies texts, logos, barcodes and data matrix codes up to 12.5 mm in height and with up to 600 dpi in resolution.
Inkjet printer Markoprint integra One ip:
The Markoprint integra One ip inkjet printer with its compact design was specifically developed for system integrators. Settings or variable fields can be edited directly on the device’s integrated display. An excellent print resolution of up to 900 dpi is possible. Depending on the configuration, a print speed of up to 180 meters per minute can be achieved! Connector options for alarm lights as well as USB- and RS232 interfaces are given. This printer is also Wi-Fi capable (optional).
Printhead for the inkjet printer Markoprint integra Ultimate:
For brilliant prints up to 25 mm high, Weber Marking Systems offers the Markoprint integra Ultimate printhead. It can be combined with the various Markoprint control units. The patented printhead closes automatically at downtime and cleans the nozzle plate every time it opens and closes. As a result, it is immediately ready for use after a pause. In closed or hard-to-reach systems, the cartridges can thus remain in the print head even during longer production stops and do not have to be removed. Also, its open times are far greater: With Markoprint 2580 ink, Markoprint integra Ultimate can be left “open” for over 72 hours instead of only 15 minutes! By the way, integra Ultimate is also suitable for UV inks. This allows printing on virtually any flat surface.
