Average quantity labeling on packaging: What does the ‘℮’ symbol mean?
Food, beverages, detergents, screws – these and many other products are filled and packaged by the manufacturer during production. The packaging is then a so-called “prepackage”. Like any other packaging, prepackages contain a lot of information, such as ingredients, nutritional information, best-before dates or batch data. If you look closely, you will sometimes discover a small “e” directly behind the quantity information. But what does this so-called EEC symbol actually stand for in connection with the filling quantity labeling?
