The SATO CL-SXR Series is the new generation of high-performance industrial printers for demanding marking applications. It includes the CL4-SXR with a 104 mm print width for standard labeling applications and the CL6-SXR with a 167.5 mm print width for larger label sizes. As the successor to the proven CLNX-Plus Series, both models combine high print speeds with precise print results and convenient operation. Depending on the model, resolutions of 200 or 300 dpi are available, with an additional 600 dpi option for the CL4-SXR.

With print speeds of up to 457 mm/s on the CL4-SXR and 356 mm/s on the CL6-SXR, the series is also suitable for applications with high label volumes. The 4.3" color touchscreen with integrated video tutorials assists users with operation, setup, and maintenance.

Numerous interfaces, emulations, and upgradeable options enable flexible integration into existing production environments. SATO AEP also allows stand-alone applications to run directly on the printer. RFID, optional direct PDF printing, and 1D and 2D code verification further expand the range of applications.

The CL-SXR Series combines high throughput with precise label positioning. At 200 dpi, the CL4-SXR achieves print speeds of up to 457 mm/s, while the CL6-SXR reaches up to 356 mm/s. For particularly demanding print images, the CL4-SXR also offers a resolution of 600 dpi. The new sensor technology enables high print positioning accuracy even with small labels and demanding applications.

The 4.3" TFT color touchscreen with a resolution of 480 × 272 pixels ensures clear and convenient operation. Integrated video tutorials assist users directly on the device with typical tasks such as loading labels and ribbons. Numerous display languages and printer fonts facilitate international use and reduce training requirements.

LAN, USB, RS-232C, and the applicator interface are available for integration into industrial applications; Wi-Fi is available as an option. Numerous emulations facilitate integration into existing printing environments and enable the replacement of existing printing systems. The front USB host interface can also be used to transfer data, update firmware, or connect peripheral devices.

With SATO AEP – Application Enabled Printing – applications can be run directly on the printer. This enables stand-alone solutions without a permanently connected PC, for example. Print data can be processed, operating workflows can be customized, and external devices can be integrated. This opens up additional possibilities for decentralized marking solutions directly in production and logistics.

A ribbon capacity of up to 600 meters reduces the frequency of necessary media changes and supports long production runs. The printhead and platen roller can be replaced without tools, allowing maintenance work to be carried out quickly. At the same time, the integrated operating aids facilitate troubleshooting directly on the device and help reduce unplanned downtime.

The CL-SXR Series can optionally be equipped with a scanner for verifying printed 1D and 2D codes. This allows the quality of important markings to be checked directly during the printing process. A special function also enables printing from the very first label without first feeding blank labels for positioning. This reduces material consumption and avoids unnecessary label waste.
