Label glass products and packaging

Labels are indispensable for product advertising. Even with low production volumes, investing in a labeling machine that automates the application of labels is worthwhile. Labeling machines are available either as pure label dispensers for pre-printed labels or as label printers and dispensers that combine the printing and dispensing of the labels in one system.

Labeling machines from Weber Marking Systems can be used for cylindrical and conical glasses and returnable bottles without any problems. Special modules then set the product in rotation and press the labels precisely and reliably along the curve.

The direct labeling of glass containers using inkjet printers is discrete and inexpensive. For optimal readability, we have a wide range of fast-drying, high-contrast and highly adhesive inks at our disposal. A challenge with filled beverage bottles is the sometimes occurring condensation, which can reduce the print quality. For this reason, we offer special inkjet printers that automatically dry the print area before marking. The use of invisible UV ink that does not affect the appearance of the product is also conceivable for certain applications.

Laser marking is particularly abrasion-resistant and counterfeit-proof. So-called CO2 marking lasers use a laser beam to thinly remove the top layer of the material without damaging the protective effect of the packaging. One of the biggest advantages of laser marking is that there are no consumables such as ink or labels.
