Foil packaging labeling

If you want to label products that are shrink-wrapped in plastic film, you have to take a few special aspects into account. The biggest challenge is usually the uneven surface and the non-absorbent material. On flexible film packaging, thermal transfer direct printers ensure excellent print quality at high speeds. Inkjet printers, which can apply constantly changing text without contact, also achieve good results. Laser markers can also use color changes to print different product information precisely and, above all, permanently on foils. Bottles or trays in shrink film, on the other hand, are often provided with labels. Which technology is best suited for your application depends, among other things, on the nature of the packaging, the production conditions and the intended use of the marking.

The production environment is also decisive when selecting the labeling technology. If the machinery is regularly exposed to moisture, dust or severe temperature fluctuations, it should definitely have suitable protective properties.
