Labeling rubber products
A dimensionally stable but elastic plastic: due to its special properties, rubber is in demand as a material in many industry areas. So-called elastomers, which are used in car tires, rubber bands, cable insulation and sealing rings, are made from vulcanized rubber.
Like other products, rubber products should be completely traceable back to the manufacturer. For this reason, batch numbers and the like must be clearly legible. But what is the best way to label rubber parts and tires? Of course, it is extremely important that the properties of the material are not damaged. There are various options for marking rubber.
Marking rubber with ink

Rubber is well suited for marking with inkjet printers. With the right ink, the imprint is high-contrast, permanent and clean. If the marking must not or should not impair the appearance of the product, an invisible UV ink can be used, which only becomes readable under UV light.

If you want to apply labels to a rubber surface, you should seek advice from us. Many rubber compounds emit plasticizers that can affect adhesives or label appearance. For example, special adhesives are developed for tire labels that adhere permanently to the car tire.
Marking rubber with laser
Laser marking on rubber is particularly tamper-proof because it is solvent and abrasion resistant. In addition, marking lasers not only work extremely precisely and extremely quickly, but are also maintenance-free and consumable-free.
