How to apply and read RFID labels
Reliable, fast and versatile: Super-thin RFID labels are ideal for automated marking. You can use them for detecting, registering, storing and monitoring individual parts or transport containers. They are also ideal for tracing processes, goods and transport paths, managing stock and warehouses, protecting products and steering access control and time tracking.
RFID labels are outstandingly reliable and robust
RFID labels hold their own in extreme production environments and do not need a line of sight between the writing/reading device and the transponder. Thanks to bulk reading, several labels transmit their data to an RFID reader at the same time. At the heart of the technology is a transponder, a tiny computer chip with an antenna that stores the EPC number (Electronic Product Code). The EPC number is a universal identifier that gives a unique identity to any physical object. It consists of a basic GS1 key, in some cases the class of an object, and always the serial number.

Portable Slap & Ship (portabel)
The small hand-held reader scans barcodes and has a writing-reading unit for labels. It automatically renders the barcode as an EPC code and writes all the data onto the label without a printer.
Mobile Slap & Ship (mobile)
The RFID desktop printer on a mobile trolley is perfect for flexible use in production and logistics. It writes and prints labels where needed. Workers then manually apply the labels.
Code & Apply (fixed)
The LA 4050 quickly and precisely applies RFID labels automatically, using dependable Festo pneumatics combined with vacuum and pressure measurement. The optional Bad Tag Reject Unit removes faulty labels.
Print Code & Apply
The LA 5200 RFID label printer and dispenser automatically creates, prints and applies tags.
The optional Bad Tag Reject Unit guarantees that only perfect labels find their way onto the product. Both the LA 4050 and the LA 5200 RFID are ideal for precision and bulk-packaging labeling in production and logistics. Labels are fed fast and in a straight line thanks to the motor-powered spool. Operators can easily and flexibly operate the system via a removable display controller. Both labeling machines can connect to external databases.
